Promo codes are customizable discounts that help attract new players, reward loyalty, and run marketing campaigns directly in Thril.
Promo codes are a powerful way to attract new players, reward loyal customers, and run seasonal or flash campaigns. With Thril’s promo code tool, you can set up custom discounts that apply automatically during checkout, giving you complete control over your marketing incentives.
🧭 Where to Manage Promo Codes
To get started, go to Settings → Promo codes in your venue dashboard.
This view shows all your current codes, their statuses, usage numbers, and active periods. From here, click New promo code to launch a new campaign.
✍️ Step 1: Basic Details
Begin by entering the following:
- Name: Internal name for your reference (shown in reports).
- Code: The code customers will enter at checkout (e.g.,
SUMMER25). It’s auto-formatted to uppercase and must be unique. - Active period: Set the start and end dates. The code becomes available starting at midnight on the start date.
- Additional details: Optional notes visible only to you and your staff.
Once filled in, click Next step.
⚙️ Step 2: Configuration
Here, you can define how the code behaves:
- Usage limit type:
- Per customer: Each customer can use the code a limited number of times.
- Global: The code has a total usage limit across all users.
- Maximum usages: Leave empty for unlimited use, or set a cap (e.g., "first 50 uses").
Continue by clicking Next step.
🧩 Step 3: Add Benefits
Now you can define what the code actually does. Each promo code can have one or more discount benefits.
- Benefit name: Clearly describe what the customer gets (e.g., “10% discount”).
- Discount type:
- Percentage (e.g., 15% off)
- Fixed amount (e.g., 5€ off)
- Discount value: Enter the percentage or fixed value.
- Reservation restrictions (optional): Target specific sports, courts, days, time slots, or durations.
You can add multiple benefits if needed. When ready, click Create promo code.
📊 Monitoring and Editing Codes
Once created, you can:
- See each code’s usage stats.
- Edit or delete codes at any time.
- View which benefits and users are associated with a promo.
To manage a promo, click on it from the overview list. You’ll find tabs for Details, Benefits, and Usages.

- Use short, memorable codes.
- Combine with email campaigns for better reach.
- Limit codes to weekends, off-peak hours, or specific groups to optimize pricing.
